A pair of Louis XVI style gilt easy chairs, each with an arched crest decorated with carved gilt trim, central relief carved roses, and relief carved bellflowers, the forward projecting wings, back, sides, padded armrests, seat, and seat cushion upholstered in conforming cream silk fabric with fine piping, the arms terminating in acanthus carved scrolled handrails on molded supports, the seat rail decorated with carved trim conforming to crest and sides, all raised on cylindrical stop-fluted legs headed by paterae. Approximate height 40.5", width 27", depth 23".
