American, circa 1880s. An American Aesthetic Movement ebonized wood display cabinet with inlaid burled and bird's eye maple banding and lightwood stringing decoration throughout, the molded top with projecting bird's eye maple front corners surmounting corner blocks with inlaid paterae over banded ebonized columns with gilt Corinthian capitals flanking the two-door facade with banded frieze decorated with stringing inlay punctuated by classical foliate decoration, the glass doors framed with banding, stringing and gilt beading opening to the interior with two shelves and three rows of storage space upholstered in suede, raised on a conforming plinth with inlaid stringing and patera inlaid side blocks, all raised on turned feet.
