Majolica covered game dish or covered vegetable, in the manner of George Jones' (English, 1861-1951) significant "Full Nest" work, depicting a brown feathered bird perched amid green grasses on oblong oval lid covering a vessel with faux bois handles with twisting green vines, sides of serving container with rabbits amid ferns against blue glazed background. Marked on bottom with "1679".Approximate height 7.5", width 13.25" , depth 9".
